Workshop for young critics in Harare (Zimbabwe)
The IATC is organizing a workshop for young theatre critics from April 30 to May 5 2019 in Harare, Zimbabwe, in the framework and with the support of the Harare International Festival. You can apply now to be one of the 10 chosen participants. The working language for this workshop will be English. To send your application, you must be a professional critic aged between 18 and 35. All candidates are invited to send their application including a brief CV (no more than one page), 2 or 3 samples of articles already published in media and a letter of recommendation from the person in charge of the AICT/IATC section in your country (if your country has a national IATC section or is part of a regional section). All these documents must be sent in a single PDF file, if possible. Please note the following:
1) Candidates must send their application themselves, not have them sent by the IATC/AICT sections.
2) Make sure you have a good command of the English language.
Shared accommodation, lunch, dinner and airport pick-up are included. You will receive a free pass for all the shows and for the discussions that will take place during the Festival.
This working group will be monitored by Emmanuel Dandaura (Nigeria), Vice-President of the IATC.
The candidacies will be accepted until April 2, 2019. They must be sent to the Director of Seminars, Jean-Pierre Han: jp.han@free.fr . A final list of all chosen participants will be announced as soon as possible, to allow time for preparing your trip and obtaining a visa for Zimbabwe (if needed).
