Dear colleagues and friends,
I submit my candidacy for re-election to the Executive Committee. Building on the work carried out so far, I ask the opportunity to continue contributing in the Association’s ongoing development and initiatives.
Over the years, I have developed extensive experience within European cultural networks. My recent re-election to the Board of the European Theatre Convention has further strengthened my engagement with international governance, strategic cooperation, and cultural policy discussions. I believe this perspective can continue to support the work of the Executive Committee and its evolving priorities.
My active involvement in the IACT, including the organization and hosting of the Executive Committee Board Meeting in Greece in April 2025, has deepened my understanding of the Association’s needs and opportunities. It has also confirmed my commitment to fostering collaboration and creating spaces for meaningful professional exchange among members.
If re-elected, I would focus on supporting the following priorities:
- Strengthening the international profile and visibility of the Association through partnerships, communication initiatives, and closer collaboration with cultural networks and institutions.
- Exploring the possibility of hosting again in Greece an important activity of our Association, like the International Workshop for Young Critics, encouraging education, mobility, and the development of new voices in theatre criticism.
- Contributing to initiatives that promote critical dialogue and facilitate exchanges across generations, regions, and artistic perspectives.
I bring to this role a combination of artistic, academic, and institutional experience, together with a sustained commitment to dialogue, collaboration, and international exchange. If re-elected, I will continue to work with responsibility and consistency in support of the Association’s strategic goals, contributing constructively to collective decision-making and to the further strengthening of our international community. It would be a privilege to continue serving alongside colleagues whose shared commitment shapes the future of theatre criticism worldwide.
Sincerely,
Eirini Mountraki
