The IATC Excom meeting in Tbilisi

The most recent meeting of the IATC Executive Committee took place in Tbilisi, Georgia, in the generous context of the Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre. It was a good opportunity for the ExCom members to discuss current issues of the association; a significant item on the agenda was the much anticipated congress in Banff, Canada. Another important IATC event in the framework of the festival was the Conference on “Theatre and Populism” chaired by Irina Gogoberidze (President of the Georgian Section) and Margareta Sörenson (IATC President). It was a good opportunity for critics from different continents to explore a theme that is more and more significant in the world of global theatre.
