Special award for Olu Obafemi

The IATC ExCom has received with excitement the news about the 2018 Nigerian National Merit Award (NNMA) being offered to the Honorary Chair of IATC-Nigeria, Professor Olu Obafemi. Obafemi is the first theatre critic to win the NNMA, the highest professional honour for Nigerians.
This national recognition is meant to reward the activity of a committed, and competent theatre critic and artist, who is laudable for his strive to further develop theatre criticism in Africa. Obafemi was a guest of the 2016 IATC Congress in Belgrade.
