On March 1, 2018, Pawit Mahasarinand, the first president of the Thai Section of IATC, has become the director of Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC): en.bacc.or.th
An independent twelve-storey multidisciplinary art centre amidst Thailand capital’s department store district, BACC is the hub of Bangkok Theatre Festival (BTF), Bangkok International Performing Arts Meeting (BIPAM), Bangkok International Children’s Theatre Festival (BICT fest), International Dance Festival (IDF), International Butoh Festival Thailand and Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB).
It’s also noteworthy that, since 2013, BACC and the ThaiSection of IATC have been co-hosting the annual critics’ meeting. During the meeting, Thai members of IATC share their opinions and offer the Thai IATC Awards, the country’s only annual awards for contemporary dance and theatre.
